Second and Subsequent Certificates or Degrees
Students who currently hold a certificate or degree and who apply for a VC certificate or degree or apply for a second VC certificate or degree are required to complete a minimum of 15 semester hours at VC of program-relevant study (as determined by the appropriate instructional administrator). The 15 semester hours must be completed after the requirements or the issuance of the student’s most recent certificate or degree. Credit for external work experiences or management seminar courses may be used to satisfy a maximum of three semester hours of this requirement.
Correspondence or examination credit may be used to satisfy a maximum of six semester hours of this requirement. All other certificates and/or degree requirements also apply. The second or subsequent certificate or degree must be titled differently from the first or previous certificate or degree. For example, only one Associate of Arts Degree may be issued even though the major or field of study differs. The same is true of the Associate of Science Degree.
