MATH 0304 Foundations of Algebra

The course supports students in developing skills, strategies, and reasoning needed to succeed in mathematics, including communication and appropriate use of technology. Topics include the study of numeracy and the real number system.  This course provides just-in-time developmental support for students enrolled in College Algebra or Business Mathematics. Emphasis is placed on fundamental algebraic concepts including operations with real numbers, linear equations, factoring, inequalities, graphing, and introductory functions. Instruction is aligned with the college-level course to reinforce concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and promote mathematical confidence.

Appropriate Texas Success Initiative score or successful completion of MATH 0400

Corequisite

This course cannot be taken without MATH 1314 or MATH 1324 in a single semester.
