MATH 0342 Developing Statical Skills

The course supports students in developing skills, strategies, and reasoning needed to succeed in mathematics, including communication and appropriate use of technology. Topics include the study of numeracy and the real number system; algebraic concepts, notation, and reasoning; quantitative relationships; mathematical models; and problem solving. Successful completion will satisfy Texas Success Initiative Math Requirements for Non-Algebra math courses (MATH 1332 or MATH 1342). A study of the basic concepts necessary for success in MATH 1342 to include numeracy, proportional reasoning, probabilistic reasoning. This course is not applicable toward a degree. Special fee: $50.00
