Student Services Objectives

In support of the vision of Vernon College, Student Services establishes the following objectives:

To appreciate and respect the diversity of our Vernon College student body and their individual goals
To recruit and truthfully inform prospective students of the variety of options at Vernon College
To gather and maintain student records timely, effectively, and securely
To inform students regarding their education related financial options for attending college
To administer a reliable and valid testing program that offers information necessary to the educational process
To supply an academic assistance and success program to help each student discover their education goals and achieve them as quickly as possible
To furnish safe and reasonable on campus living accommodations through on campus housing
To distribute information and connect students with community resources
To provide opportunities for student engagement giving students the chance to play a role in the decision-making process of the College
To support students along their educational pathway and as they seek employment
To offer health clinic services appropriate to the needs of campus students within the resources available
To put forth student activities appropriate for the greatest number of students within the resources available
To deliver a safe educational environment through licensed peace officers and effectual student discipline
To focus all our efforts on the ultimate goal of student success
