Tuition Charges For Fast Program

Financial Aid for Swift Transfer (FAST) allows public institutions of higher education to offer dual credit courses to educationally disadvantaged students at no cost to the students (Texas Education Code, Sections 28.0095, 48.308, 61.003). Educationally disadvantaged refers to those students eligible for the national free/reduced-price lunch program, administered by the Texas Education Agency, in any of the four school years prior to the academic year in which the student is enrolled in the eligible dual credit course. The final decision of a student’s eligibility for FAST is determined by the Texas Education Agency and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Vernon College partners with high schools to provide the opportunity.
