Organizational Structure
Run Business Solutions (RBS) is the Information Technology department for Vernon College. By vendor contract, RBS provides management, administration, and support of the College’s information technology systems including the following:
1. Monitoring, managing, and supporting on premise network, associated devices, and applications.
2. Ability to provide support for approximately 861 PCs, 7 Physical Servers and 35 Virtual Machines
3. Provide experienced staff in all levels of IT services
4. Develop and maintain response and resolution scheduling and timeline plan
5. Hardware maintenance and replenishment planning
6. System Maintenance and Administration
7. Hardware and software purchasing, planning and assistance
8. Provide monthly and annual management data to client
9. Server recovery and business continuity solutions and software
10. Strategic planning, budgeting and project management
11. Assistance with technical best practices and compliance
Vernon College Information systems and Technology (IST) employees provide management and oversight to the Ellucian Colleague management information system including admissions, registration, financial aid, and Ellucian Colleague/NEOGOVED for business office, staff and faculty portals and purchase requisition functions. Vernon College IST employees also provide management to printer and copier functions and services.
RBS and Vernon College IST employees report directly to the and The Vice President of Information Systems and Technology.
