Students with Disabilities and Attendance Issues Policy
Vernon College students adhere to the Vernon College Class Attendance Policy. Students must contact instructors immediately about extended absences due to illness. If a student is unable to contact the instructor (s) due to an emergency or a severe illness, the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) is happy to work with students that have been granted accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act to verify for instructors a chronic illness or condition due to a disability. The student may be asked to submit proof of hospitalization or a doctor’s note verifying the student’s illness to the OSD.
